After a 30 minute trip by car we meet the Bedouin from Ain Khudra where we collect our camels.
Guided by a Bedouin we will take a ride for about 40 minutes to the mysterious prehistoric buildings known as Nawamis. |

These structures are built of sandstone slabs and are between 2 to 2.5 meters high.
With a diameter between 3 to 6 meters with a small opening facing west exactly. Many have been dated back to the Copper Stone Age
(4000 – 3000 BC). Archaeologists have found a lot of different funeral offerings from this ancient time there, for example:
shell bracelets, coloured pearls, pots and tools made of copper and bones. |

After the sight-seeing of this setting we will take a rest and our Bedouin guide invites us to have some fresh
baked bread and refreshing tea. Fit again we drive to the rock of Ain Khudra which is covered with inscriptions.
This rock is on the
former path of the pilgrims from Ain Khudra to St. Katharine. |
