This is one of the famous entries at the Blue Hole.
For this dive the pick up parks a bit more in the back of the Blue Hole area. After you prepare your equipment
you have to walk for a while but a very nice few and a great dive will be the reward for this strain. You have to
follow your way on a beaten track over some small hills ore if it is low tight you can walk threw the water till you
reach the entry of the Bells.
After about 80 meters you reach a little cleft which is 60 – 90 centimetre and a few metres long.
This is the entry called Bells. You can sit down to pull on your fins and what else you want. After you finish you can go down into this riff cleft.
At 8 meters you will find the Bells. The Bells is like a chimney which is open to the sea. Into this chimney you can go down to 27 meters
where is the first bottom. It is also able to go out of the chimney to the open sea all the time. If you go out you have to be carefully with your
bouncy because there is a steep wall which goes down to non reachable deeps.
The dive continues along this wall to the direction of the Blue Hole it self. On your way you will slowly assent to about 7 meters so you can find the
anticline over which you can dive into the Blue Hole. This dive is a nice dive for diver with some experience in diving.
The Blue Hole it self is a very nice an famous dive site and for divers with a bit experience it is very easy to dive there.
You can always follow the wall to orbit the complete thing. At 55 meters deep there is a hole to the open sea which is called the “Arch”.
To go down to this opening is not allowed and under punishes posed.
And most of the divers which want to do this Arch do not come back to be punished at even only very few divers are brought back from the sea.
Also we advise to dive threw the Arch because the Blue Hole is 100 meters deep and the open sea behind the Arch goes steep down to 800 meters.
But any way we wish you a lot fun on you dive in the Blue Hole.
The canyon is also a very nice dive site. You enter the dive threw a lagoon when you exit the lagoon to the open sea.
Depending on the weather there can be a current so be a bit carefully and remind always the rules for which current.
After you exit the lagoon you follow your way to the heft. After about ten minutes diving on a deep of 11 meters you will see a big rock.
This rock is a good mark for the two entry’s into the canyon. It is easy to dive the canyon and decent into it slowly.
When you are into the canyon you can look around and you will see how the canyon goes into the deep sea and also you can see the second entry
which you can now use as a exit. For scuba divers we advice to go deeper the 30 meters into the canyon. The exit is like a chimney threw which you can
slowly accent out of the canyon. Now you can follow the reef back to the lagoon.
This dive is for a day with few waves because the entry for this dive is direct from the reef table.
Short after your entry the riff wall goes down to 20 meters. Than you dive over a sandy bottom which is framed by a reef.
This reef socle goes up to 11 meters. After the reef sockle you can find a canyon in a deep of 40 meters which is probable caused
by a earthquake. Except this canyon is this reef not very special but it a nice reef. At the end of your dive you choose a exit which is a bit
more on the right side of the entry. Here you dive over a anticline into a little lagoon from where the exit is very easy.
This dive site is a very interesting dive site whit a lot of different thinks to see.
The entry and exit is easy if you go in and out threw the little cave which is in the reef.
This cave is just 2 ore 3 meters deep and not very easy to find so you have to look carefully.
When you dive into this cave you have to be a bit carefully because of the current. After you exit
the cave you will see a sandy bottom. You go here right hand and down to 15 to 20 meters. Here you can find many of
sandy eels which life here. It is a great few to watch the eels but you should be very carefully with your bouncy so you do not
disturb the eels. After the sandy bottom is finished you will find a field with a lot of nice corral blocks and many water animals.
This dive site is maybe the most common dive site in Dahab.
It is a very easy dive site and it is used for diving courses and for night dives.
At this dive site you can dive to the right ore to the left hand. The entry is very easy at a sandy bottom where you can
always find a lot of people which learn to dive. The dive to the right side a very nice dive. You will find many nice block
reefs and also small reefs with a many fish and different animals. Here you can make a shallow dive ore you can go down to 30 meters.
The dive site to the right hand is a bit strange but very interesting. It is sandy bottom and some old small wracks like a fridge ore some wheels.
Here you can see how a reef starts to be. Because on most of this little wrack grow now some little corrals. And more and more sea animals find a home here.
But if you are lucky you can find here a sting ray, a turtle ore at even a sea hors.
Das Red Reef liegt fast mitten in Asalah (Dahab City). Leider liegt hier im flachen Bereich
auch recht viel Müll herum. Man taucht dann der Sandhalde folgend auf ca. 15 Meter Tiefe nach
rechts und es kommen dann immer wieder schöne Korallenblöcke und Sandflächen. Beim
Zurücktauchen kann man dann noch nach einem Bootswrack suchen, dass hier in der Bucht
liegen soll....
