Wreck diving at the Thistlegrom:

The wreck of the Thistlegorm is probably one of the most famous shipwrecks in the world.

On this picture you can see the bow of the ship.

We organise two- ore more day trips to the most beautiful diving spots in the Red Sea. A lot of them can only be reached by boat. We make all the arrangements necessary.

Der Bug der Thistelgorm...

Das war mal die Bruecke der Thistlegorm(17 Meter tief gelegen)

This is the bridge of the Thistlegorm.

This shipwreck lies in a depth of 30 metres, but its cranes start at a depth of 17 metres.
The Thistlegorm was a supply ship for the English troops in Africa and was supposed to bring supplies to fight the Germans in Africa.

The ship was loaded with motorcycles, trucks and a lot of ammunition as well.

Ein Kesselwagen steht noch auf Deck

Es gibt noch jede Menge scharfe Munition!!!

Up to now, no ammunition has been “officially” recovered, so there still is a lot
of explosives down there, so neither should the diver touch anything, not to mention, should he under no circumstances bring anything up to the surface!
The massive anchor winch.

The Thistlegorm was discovered by a German fighter plain by coincidence and was attacked and sunk at night.

Diving at the Thistlegorm requires some experience due to limited visibility and strong currents. Attention should also be paid to the nitrogen saturation.

The guides who lead the dive to this notorious wreck know it very well and will show you all the hidden details and secret corners of the ship.

Stick to the following rules and you will have a safe and unforgettable diving experience.
In the vessel’s cargo room there are still motorcycles standing side by side

Sadly, divers have taken a lot of equipment in the past.

So we ask you kindly, not to take any „souvenirs”, because other divers want to dive in the same great atmosphere as you.

Although the wreck has been on the sea floor for over 60 years, a lot of the ship’s structure is still intact.
