Dear guests in the Sunsplash club

We would like you to have an unencumbered vacation with many beautiful and unforgettable, dives. Therefor we would like to give you some general information on the way Sunsplash operates and some Tipps about the country and ist wonderful people.

Our camp is a small and individual facility with a family atmosphere. All rooms are equipped with shower / WC, fan or air-conditioning and two or three beds.
Appropriately simple but clean! We also have a large restaurant with televison and table tennis. Our chill-out areas invite you to hang out and let the impressions of the day sink into your memory.

You are visiting a country which is stilllargely shaped by Islam. But Dahab itself belongs more and more to the rather touristy areas, so the closed-dress requirements are not as important anymore. But if you plan to make a trip to St. Catharines or to any Bedouin villages, please respect the dress code that are required of both genders. This includes long shirt sleves and long-legged trousers, and a cover fort he hair of the women, which we also recommend for men as well, simply because of the aggressive sun. If you follow these simple rules, the natives will thank you with their respect and you are more likely to receive their full hospitality.

Until now Dahab has kept its old flair of a typical Bedouin village. Along the beach you can find a lot of nice cafés, restaurants and bars, most of them in Bedouin style. The now car-free boulevard along the beach reaches our Sunsplash camp, so you can stroll along the ocean to the centre of Dahab. In the centre of Dahab you find a lot of Bazaars where you can prove your bargaining skills. If you are not tired from diving or sightseeing, you can go out for to dance in The two discotheques or bars.

Last but not least: lets talk about money. You can pay for your accommodation and dives direct in Sunsplash when you arrive ore when you leave. At the moment we do not accept any credit cards but there is a bank in Dahab.

Visum Tipps:

It is not necessary to buy a visa if you just want to visit the Sinai and Dahab or to most dive sites around Dahab. But if you think about to go to Ras Mohammed you should buy a visa at the air port bank. At the moment this visa is about 18,00 Euro.
Hint: Do not buy it from any tourist guides because they will charge you extra for their services. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding visas.

If you provide us with your flight number and your arrival time, we will gladly pick you up from the air port. Please tell us as soon as possible if there are any changes of your flight details. Or, to avoid from any misunderstandings, send us a short email with your flight details two days prior to your arrival.

Please make sure that your Passport is valid until at least six months after your intended departure date from Egypt.
Also, do not forget your dive brevet and your log book. You should also not forget to bring a doctors note that you are fit to dive

We hope you find this compendium of informations useful and we would certainly be more than happy to welcome you at Sunsplash in the near future.
